I have upgraded my accoutn from version 4.2.1 to version 5, after I followed all the instructions, I am confused why the admin cp is not working as well as most of the models that should be available in version 5. How do I fix this?

Also according to the instriction, I was suppose to do something in step 1, but did not understan what it means since i am new at this. the step step instruction is included below. Please help me fix this.

I have been patiently asking question ad hopefully i can get this fix and working if not, I will file a dispute and get my money back.

this should be done from your cpanel of hosting service
use phpmyadmin
search for the database of your social network
and excute the SQL queries.

if you dont know what does that means, i think you will need help from your support service of the hosting provider. and may be you will have to search for a tech. or learn more how to manage a website.
So no need at all to file a dispute because this part of job has nothing to see with jcow. if you buy a car, it s supposed that you know driving.

all the modules are not enabled with this payed version. so if I call my sql provide and they help me fix that will it fix the problem? will it enable these features?

That is because your theme is not for Jcow5.
If you are using blue or facebook theme, you need to download the new version from:
[url]http://community.jcow.net/extensions?filter=23_13[/url]
and replace the page.tpl.php

And do not forget to update modules.

you need to update your theme to jcow5 download it add that to your themes folder and it will work

What do I replace the page.tpl.php with?

I did what you said and downloaded the new facebook version and i was able to see the cp on the left but most of the module that I should be receiving with the new upgrade are still disabled, meaning not accessible. what do i do?

did you tick the module boxes beside the installed module and then click save ???

Make sure you have updated you're Moudels in the admin CP area if you click on Admin CP you should see Modules box click on Modules then you should see this

IF YOU MODIFIED SOME MODULE FILES, YOU NEED TO CLICK THE "Update modules" TO MAKE THEM EFFECTIVE

at the buttom click update Modules and they should be active the new theme no longer has Tabs on top its on the left hand side of the screen if this doesnt work make sure you have jcow 5 themes such as blue and facebook theme if you have paid for this you should be able to download the new package JCOW 5 which is a Zipped file that contains the all the files needed for a clean install downbload JCOW Package and unzipp it... In there you will have themes folder called default in the default folder of JCOW 5 you will have page.tpl replace the old page.tpl with the new JCOW 5 page.tpl this will change the look of your network. hope this helps you
